Custom Brompton

About time we had a bit of folding action around here and folders don't come much better than a Brompton and Brompton's don't come much cooler than NBromnLife's very custom M6 shot earlier this month on the Achieve Sunday morning ride...

Rotor at the drive...

A very trendy Rindow Bullet light up front with a King headset...

Limited edition Brooks saddle...

And a Loro custom rear spring taking care of shock duties...

Made in London. Pimped in Kyoto.

Crazy Sheep Farm Kyoto

A bunch of photos taken at the very stylish new Crazy Sheep Farm shop in Kyoto a couple of weeks ago...

As the name suggests the shop is a showroom for the popular Crazy Sheep brand of bikes, the budget range from the E.B.S stable...

We visited on the day after the grand opening so they were still stocking the shop but there was a good amount of custom Crazy Sheep bikes on display...

From swish city runners like the Perendale model...

To the cute (and equally as swish) Corriedale mini-velo models...

Kenji's  super cool monster Bighorn MTB was kinda grabbing our attention but we've shot that bike before so we'll just post one pic of it today...

There's decent stock of their popular kid's bike, the Merino...

And a nice range of parts and accessories too...

A cool, friendly and fun shop selling some very decent and reasonably priced bikes. Well worth a visit. Keep up to date with all things Crazy Sheep by following the Farm Instagram here and the brand Instagram here.

On A Saturday...

A late afternoon spin with F-i-N yesterday down to K Town...

A pit stop at the ever reliable Kita Cycle...

The stench of roadies was strong...

Naturally any trip to K Town means a stop at K-Coffee...

Waiting for the man...

A few shrine shots...

Then back up the river to the big N-City...

Cheers, as usual, to the recovering alcoholics Brad and Mikey.

Gyro Bike, Osaka

A little bit of a backstory to this. Last summer whilst cycling around Osaka we chanced by this little bike shop in the Nakazaki neighbourhood, unfortunately at that time the shop was closed as it was the next few times we tried. Last week it was open and we ventured inside...

Gyro Bike is an Aladin's cave of old and mid-school mountain biking. Crammed full of mint condition bikes, frames, parts and memorabilia. The shop owner is very friendly and talkative man who spent an hour telling us about his past travels and adventures in the MTB world, he's met such legendary figures as Gary Fisher, Tom Ritchey, John Tomac, Tinker Juarez and Missy Giove...

The assortment of bikes on display is mind blowing for any MTB nerd, limited edition Cannondale's sit alongside custom GT full bouncer's...

And then you look up. The amount of vintage frame porn, all mint condition, hanging from the rafters is stunning. Tomac full susser's, Rocky Mountain's, Sintesi's...

A couple of Klein's for good measure...

Tucked away in the corner are a couple of Ibis hardtail's...

Including a beautiful titanium Mojo...

And all around the shop there are perfect condition parts...

The cabinets that line the wall are also filled with so much vintage WANT...

The owner told us that he no longer runs a website so there is nothing we can link to here. We have marked the location on Google Maps so if you're in Osaka it's fairly easy to find. We'll be back there soon to take tons more photos and buy lots of parts.
