Last Sunday we made a visit to the wonderful Cicli Katsuo in Kyoto. We first became aware of their work after seeing their bikes at the handmade bicycle meeting last year. They are located to the north of Kyoto in a building that includes the Aoyama Cycle store and a cyclist's cafe upstairs...
Lined up outside the shop are a fleet of custom builds and renovations...
When the staff are riding a custom 3Rensho road bike then you know it's a good bike shop...
Inside a selection of new and used frames hang from the rafters...
At the rear of the store is the Katsuo workshop...
Where beautiful frames like these are produced...
This super cool piste frame is built for 24" wheels...
An old work Welby Cycle work bike that has been renovated and fitted with custom made racks...
A very cute Katsuo stem...
A cool and friendly store doing some very beautiful builds. Well worth checking out for any cyclist in Kyoto. Follow Cicli Katsuo on their Flickr and Facebook pages and check their shop blog for regular updates.
