This penultimate Cycle Mode post rounds up all the other bikes we captured at the show this year.
The Fat Bike trend has made it to Japan! Well, sort of. We thought these "Fat Sand Bikes" were a cheap, budget Fat Bike but a quick check on their "
website" puts them in the higher end bracket even if the build quality says different...
Moving on to something far nicer, these
Grand Bois tourers are made to order in Kyoto...
Peugeot had a small stand at the show displaying a selection of their bikes, this 8 speed 24" BMX cruiser looked fun and funky...
As for folders, the
Brompton stand was proving popular...
...And so was the
Birdy(BD-1) stand right next door!...
They were pushing their new
"classic" BD-1 model...
There were other folders at the show but when you have both Brompton and Birdy there seems (in our opinion) little point in going elsewhere. I mean you could, if you wanted to, buy something called a Peco with 14" wheels and disc brakes...
...Or maybe you like the "look" of the hideous
Big Fish Line...
As for mini velos, you can't go wrong with the popular
Bruno range...
Osso were showing off their own budget version of the genre...
And
Dia Comp were showing their
ENE Ciclo range that includes these Flat-1 mini velos. Now they look remarkably similar to the popular
Cycroc mini velos, not only in style and size but even down to the name Flat-1!
Slightly less controversial was this
ENE Ciclo tourer...
Bianchi had a huge display, showing off the many bikes in their range. They were also one of the few companies at the show with the cheek to charge actual cash money for one of their catalogues! On display they had high end road bikes, their popular fixies, MTB bikes...
...Decent looking hybrids...
...And, for some unknown reason, the abomination that was this attempt at a BMX...
