Osaka River Trash

It has been a while since we posted any "casualties" so when our good friend Brad sent us these great photos taken after the annual clearing of the Onchi river in Higashiosaka we just had to post them...

A sad sight for sure, hard to tell if these bikes had been stolen or were simply dumped after breaking down, with all the abandoned bikes we see here it is more than likely the latter. Big thanks again to Brad for the pictures, that cheque is somewhere in the post!!

Bike Lore 2013 Saitama (Day Two)

Our very good buddy Hiroshi sent us yet more great photos from the second day of the Bike Lore event that took place last weekend over in Saitama...

If there was an award for cyclocross photo of the year this would be our winner...

Nice to see the Blue Lug guys showing off their stuff in the market area...

Again, huge thanks to Hiroshi for sharing these pictures, next year we are so gonna be there too!

Guell BMX School

Last Sunday we dropped in to the Guell BMX School in Nara...

A relaxed flatland BMX session and school organised by Guell store manager Susumu-san...

A chance for the younger riders to learn the skills of the pro's like Yasushi Tanabe...

...And also for Yasushi-san to learn some new skills on the kid's bikes!...

Riders from Nara, Kyoto, Shiga, Osaka and Mie all coming together to brush up on their skills and share knowledge with others...

A great way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. Susumu-san has some much better photos from the day posted over on the Guell blog.

Bike Lore 2013, Saitama (Day One)

Our very good friend Hiroshi sent us a bunch of brilliant photos taken on the first day of the Bike Lore event over in Saitama. It looked like a perfect day for a cross race...

Seems there was also a trials demo going on too...

Nice to see Kobe's own Vivalo there showing those east side frame builders how things are done!..

Arigato to Hiroshi for sharing these great pictures, next time you are in Nara we will buy you a coffee!
